...Wow.

For some reason, his 2000 decks comment and the Decks 1-100 mention made me think of dialogue in Star Trek: The Search for Spock. Had this been such a scene, I could imagine the exchange going like this:

Admiral: Mr. Burke. Have you always multiplied your deck estimates by a factor of twenty?
Doug Burke: certinly, sire. how else cani kepp my reputaton as a bowlel-scrapping etxraordanerre?

OWWW my head hurts now Admiral. Although I truly enjoy the space monkeys, that was just beyond sad. Not just the parts that I had to try to translate into some form of English. (Now I understand typos, they happen...) but wow... The story was... was... well the story was beyond anything I can come up a word that appropriately fits. Darth Maul grows into 2 Mauls??? like a worm? How fast was he growing? A random "dimensional vortex" take him to the Star Trek world (As we all know Star Wars and Star Trek cross overs are always winners) Kills everyone and "Rapes" Troi?

Alright Horrible story aside (and it is hard to put it aside) and for the sake of argument lets say that his language skills are the result of being hit in the head with a small bus and we should be grateful that he didn't start a fire when his drool shorted out the key board, what was he smoking when he cut and pasted your art and tried to call it his own original creation? The design (again ignoring scale issues because I'm sure that the bus must have damaged the spacial portion of his brain too) Makes no sense... None, zip, zilch, nadda, zero. This is sadly the type of guy that will go on and father half a dozen idiot children, thus passing on his DNA, because he is too stupid to remember to use protection, or dunk his boys in boiling oil.

If anyone needs me I'll be in the corner weeping for the future of humanity.

Hey, my English isn't good, too!

Well... I agree, that even the idea of an ISD Deckplan (He wrote IDS... imperial dumb sithship?) is ridicolous and even, if he point out the right measurements, (He measures like bloody stupid johnson from Terry Pratchett Universe) his deckplan won't fit the requirements of an ISD...
I've so many problems with this deckplan, that I don't really know, where to begin and to end.
Think, my biggest problem is his attitude and that he comes with "Hi, I'm perfect and made something no one ever tried! (with copy and paste from your plans)"
Hrm... Yeah, he really deserves to be a space monkey...

Re-read the attached image... gotta love this description

Quote:
"Sith baracks & training facilitys. Also for training dark troopers and manufacturing AT-AT's

...

Sigh.. I despair sometimes... I really do

Ok Admiral, it's time to come clean. You made this up as a practical joke didn't you? Just to mess with us? Please say you did so we can retain some modicum of faith in humanity. PLEASE?

Sorry, Kelchek, but what you see is what I got.

I do like the idea of combining the functions of rooms. Sith training arenas and AT-AT factories seems logical, I mean, they're more or less the same thing anyway, right?

Of course, one does have to wonder, given that an AT-AT needs twenty five meters of deck height to stand, and I figure they leave their foundries more or less upright, this would kinda put eack deck at twenty five meters in height. Lets assume a single meter of actual deck, and we've got a shit, sorry, ship, with a length of 1800 meters, and a height of 52,302 meters, three times taller than the Executor is long.

This is some ship!

Hrm... This many AT-AT...
No planet can withstand the power of the mighty "SITH - Tower", second only to Death Star! (Even torpedo spheres should be more little)
2 Sith Lord, Thousands of AT-AT, dozen thousands of storm troopers...

However the AT-AT will be brought to their barges.

The great and mighty Sith I...

I Destroyed Sense... That's the reason for IDS... I'm sure...
(The I will destroy itself by flying in the next sun. Reason? No ship will live this way!)

At least, in Star Trek Universe it will be killed by V'ger instantly. Or the whale probe...
Or this tiny little lucky ship Enterprise... Perhaps by Wesley per accident...
Which way ever, I hope this thing will never come to life...

Hrm... IDS...
I Details Steal... (regarding his or Yodas English)
(copy and paste versus shipmaking)
I'm Dumb Stupid
I Don't see
I (should) Die Slowly...

Other ideas?

I just finished reading all the space monkey files. For the first time in my life I am seriously considering religion.

I'm having a really hard time imagining that. I guess it would look like 52 kilometer tall skyscraper in space. With warp/ion engines at the bottom. Wow.

This inanity does make me wonder if there would, in fact, be a niche not or complete deck plans (obviously) but for some sort of modular corridor/room plans that could be used by a DM whose players are aboard such a monstrosity.

Then when the almost inevitable fire-fight happens, you could slap down a t-junction, a couple of corridor sections, a generic "security checkpoint type B" and a generic cell-block and be ready for your miniatures scale shoot-out.

Probably wouldn't be too time consuming to crank out as you need not worry about external shape of the vessel, curves, awkward angles to fill or anything of that nature. Just nice straight gridded corridors and nice square/rectangular rooms.

Think. this was discussed earlier and I strongly advise you to look for the "Death Star Manual". Hard to find these days, but everything you want is in it. Shadowrun has another book in it's range useful for your wishes (at least, apartments, police station etc. can be easily converted)
Even building floorplans from today could be a good choice (If lucky, get a floorplan of a great sea cruiser like Queen Mary II)

And I also don't think, that plans like this don't fall in the range of colonial chrome but in fact, I'm not the admiral itself.

I started work on a series of interlocking tiles for more or less this purpose. The intention was to allow a person to theoretically assemble complete deckplans for very large ships by repeating the componants. Unfortunately it became obvious pretty quickly that the Imperial Star Destroyers' internal features really do dominate the internal space. For example, when I constructed the 'root' of the hangar bay systems, I built it featuring everything the true sources say is there, and when you factor in the stowage points for shuttle and TIEs, maintainnence bays etc etc, it takes up a LOT of the ship. The engines and power cores take up much of the remainder, so the large tiles I was working on wouldn't usually fit.

On the smaller scales I'm really quite tempted to design 'Space Hulk' style sections, much as you suggest. The main drawback to me would be that as a general rule of thumb, if I'm in a situation like that, I just whip out a big sheet of paper and a marker pens and draw it straight away. The games I run don't concentrate on firefights, more on plotting and dialogue.

But you never know.

It would be very interesting to see your Tie-Fighter hangar layout, even if at a very basic stage.
