I'm considering, finally, getting round to doing the Nubian ships. ong have I put them off, because fitting in the deckplans as shown in ICS is going to be a nightmare, and because I hate actually working in chrome.

The chrome part of Colonial Chrome refers to the RPG aphorism of 'cool tech' rather than the material.

However, it occurred to me in a dream last night that there's no reason I have to finish them in chrome. I can always do stock models in a traditional finish.

To that end, this is something of an appeal, I have usuable sources for the J-type 327 and Padme's little star yacht, but I'm woefully short of really good data for the H-type barge. (Not that it is a barge, of course, as it has engines where barges are unpowered by definition) so if anyone has any diagrams of the thing, especially plan elevations, I'd be most appreciative.

I'm also opening up the floor to discussion on Nubian design as I suspect I may be forced to mark these ships up as being monocoque construction. Also, I am having horrendous difficulties squaring the sets with the exteriors. Quint - I is lookin' at you ;-)

Heh,, I wasn't blaming you for anything, I was wondering if you happened to have good source on the H-type, you do seem to be able to pull things like that out with alarming efficiency :-)

Updated, have the 327 uploaded. I'm going to be working on a civilian model the next few days, and hopefulyl dig up a good plan elevation of the AotC barge.

Nice job on the civvie model, Admiral.

My one question is, why no lounge on the Queen's Transport model? The one scene I keep thinking of is Anakin sleeping behind a table in some sort of lounge or eating area, when Padme accessed the message from Sio Bibble from a console of sorts.

On first glance, I thought it was the systems area, but then I realized there was no room for a table and chairs where Jar-Jar was sleeping, or room behind it for a curled-up Anakin. At least in my mind, the dimensions don't seem to leave enough room in there for it.

Well, someone just earned their pay.

A few alterations, and that room is right back in.

I knew there was a reason I kept you guys around

Admiral, out of curiosity, how do you think one would access the cockpit of the Naboo Star Skiff?

Bearing in mind I have not looked at the ship properly, and also bearing in mind at this point I am as drunk as a nerf, I'd say given the sloping underside directly below, the best way to do it would be a narrow staircase coming up from below.

So, narrow staircase leading up to the back of the cockpit? The whole "Padme-running-aft-after-landing-on-Mustafar" makes much more sense now.

Hi, can you provide an estimate of the cargo capacity for the civilian version of the Naboo Royal Starship you have created. Thanks.

120 m3 (cubic meters) / 120 t (tonne) is a good amount for a fast and sleek ship like the Nubian, that will please my trader player in SWd6 no end.

Thanks for the information and the hard work putting the site together.

If I find some decent source images, sure.
