If you have a ship you think I ought to be giving my full attention to, feel free to request it here.

It may be worth noting that thanks to the mind-bogglingly strange and frustratingly inflexible forum management system, all previous entries have gone missing.

As always, requests here must follow the same guidelines as the Requests page on the main site;

I don't consider doing ships over 100 meters in length, or any really BIG ships, they just take too much time.

I won't do ships that don't need a plan because they're too small. This includes the Mouldy Crow.

I for one would like to see the Shadowstar finished, but I'd also like to see your take on some of the Naboo Royal starships.

Now that you mentioned the Naboo ships, I'd like to put my word in for those. The Yacht from the last half of EP II is too small to justify a deckplan, IMO, and the Skiff is debatable. I'd most like to see the Royal Cruiser from EP I. I loved looking at the Cross-Sections book of it, but I got so confused with their setup. They really don't make it nice to see anything but the workings behind the bulkheads.

Ideally, it'd be nice to see the Naboo ships as a series. Even if they are quite small, they're useful and popular in games. My personal favorite is the Skiff, although that one's been rejected before.

I may be in a position soon to release the 327. I've been fighting the damn thing for years and have only just got to a place where I have a functioning layout. This will clash with most other sources, however (except for the films) in that, IMHO, the throne room is in the nose of the ship, not the tail, and it can only be a two deck ship - there just isn't room for more. Also, the entire interior is fitted into an internal 'pressure hull' accounting for the wild differences between the curves of the ship and the curves of the bulkheads.

I'm probably not going to release the actual Royal yacht, however, as doing the chrome exterior shots is even more trouble than you'd think, but the utilitarian model will hopefully make the layout of the former clear.

I'd like to do the space barge from AtoC, and I'm only really waiting on a decent plan elevation to get going.

You mean the AA-9s? Those are sweet ships, but they look to be quite large.

I loved that ship. When I first saw Episode II, I almost cried when it got blown up.

hm... sounds and looks like a mix of a podracer, a B2 and a german JU-88 in silver color...

Funny thing and I like it too.

Agreed. It is...unique. I like that almost propeller-like trill. The other "Ship-Engine Sound" I'm rather fond of is the Theta shuttle from Ep. III. The kind of "whiiiine-dogadogadoga". Speaking of, I'd be interested in seeing your take on that ship too, Admiral. I've been curious about the internal arrangement since I noticed that the landing ramp seems to come from the aft compartment.

Take the Horizon Class Star Yacht to the request for easy using as charackter ship or adventure hook (or the place of an adventure) in SWD6

hey Admiral, i use your deckplans in reference to my own, and as such like to compare them to the various fighter on your site.

i only use the ones u have resized to fit on the 6.4pxl = 1 m

i was wondering if it was possible for you to please somtime resize them all to this scale, and maybe create them into one large image, so that i may use more of your beautiful fighter.

thanks

There is a "little" problem with your request, little lover of a Mon Calamari.

Why do you think, the fighters are in 6.4?
Why you can't change your ships/fighters to 35.5?
Or the Admiral's to 6.4 yourself?

Quote:
resize them all to this scale, and maybe create them into one large image

Sure, like he's got NOTHING to do. Why can't you make this too, on your own?

btw: Is there a site, where a person can see your plans?

That'd be a landspeeder, not a starship, as such it's outside the perview of Chrome.

I really like the overall look of the Corellian Engineering Corporation's YT-1930, but I find the deck plans a bit wasteful of space and undetailed.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/YT-1930

The following is a link to the only deck plan I was able to find.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Yt ... terior.jpg
I find it very lacking of detail and wasteful of space.

Would you be interested in rewriting up the deck plans?
PM me for more details if interested,
Zekk

As far as I am concerned, the 1930 is a 1300 with after market cargo pods. As such, it'd be renamed the 1390 and be part of the 1300 modular deckplan system I'm working on as a long term plan.
I've no idea at all when that might expect a release, however, as I am still building the 3D model of the core ship from stanchions outwards. That needs to be finished before converting to the 2D layers can happen, and after that, I need to learn how to build a web page that will allow users to click and flip out the various sections and then save their custom 1300.
There will be at least two aft quarter stowage pod options, one of which will result in what is effectively the 1930.
As i'm sure you're all aware, deckplanning the Falcon is always a compromise as the sets were built for a different shaped ship. Getting the right balance is difficult and time consuming, and frustrating as all hell.

Hello there!
I was looking for detailed deckplans for a stock Firespray-31.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Firespra ... tack_craft
Its easy to find layouts for Slave-1 and Fett's mods, but I would like to see a standard model to modify my own self...
Thanks so much in advance for this great resource!

Good day Admiral,

First I wanted to congratulate you on your amazing site, it has the most extensive collection of deckplans I've found in the net, and it will be of great help for me when I gm Star Wars roleplaying adventures.

I am currently running a boxed campaing The DarkStryder Campaign and while this campaing does provide a very detailed deckplan for the FarStar, a Corellian Corvette which is the main ship for the Players, it does not provide any decklpans for the support craft that the ship has. And I have found myself needing something like that.

So basically I would like to ask you, if you can desing any of these three vessels deckplans (Or if you could do all 3 of them, I would very much appreciate it):
The Aegis, a troop deployment shuttle.
The Muvon, a civilian transport.
The Steel Fist, a transport currently being used by some Bounty Hunters antagonist but that may sometime in the future fall in the hands of the players.

I recon that the Wookieepedia articles on them are missing some information. I could provide you with more info/pictures of them but, I don't want to flood you with information that you may not want in the first place, so let me know if any of those ships interest you and I'll provide you with all the info I've got.

Thanks for your time and let me know if I can do anything to help you with those deckplans, see ya!

I may well get to one of those soon, my desk is clear at the moment.

The Steel Fist, however, is a 1300 and as such will only get worked on as a part of the YT project.

Thank you Admiral for considering them.

Quick question though, do you actually own the sources those ships appear in? Namely The DarkStryder Campaign and Rules of Engagement: The Rebel SpecForce Handbook? Since I see that you are an avid D6 player, that question may not even be necessary but, you never know... in any case, as I said before. If you need further information on the ships, do let me know.

Ps. I might have missed something that was quite obvious but... what is the YT project?

Thanks again.

Yes, I have both sources.

The YT series of ships are waiting completion of a complete internal 3D modelling going from the spaceframe to the outer hull. Until that is complete there will be no updates of any kind to YT ships.

Allright then, I look forward to those deckplans. Thanks.

By the way, I really don't need the YT-1300 any longer... my players blew it up on our last game session... :?

I have a request, if you don't mind. The Corellian Engineering Corporation KR-TB "Doomtreader". It seems like an interesting ship, but the internal that I've seen seems to have a lot of wasted space.

I do, actually, my thoughts go -

Person A drew a pretty ship, person B made a cutaway

And

Person B was an eejit...

There's no rational I can think of for the dead space. Well, unless the previous owner was a paranoid giraffe.

Wow, it looks great Admiral. I can finally picture where everything should go on that strange thing, it will certainly be of help on my games.

And by the way, I also think the word "freighter" doesn't apply at all to this ship. I always thought of it more like a space RV more than anything :) .

Thanks again for your hard work.

Hello, everyone!

As this is my first post here, I'd like start off with a thank you to the Admiral for all the wonderful work that you do!

Now for a request.

When I first saw Jeff Carlisle's image of the Vanguard Heavy Gunship I was immediately inspired to work up a few sets of stats for it, though I've yet to use it in my game. Now that the chance to use it in the distant future for my next game, I went looking for deck plans.

Christopher West has done a mediocre deck plan for it, but I was hoping to see your take on it, since your deck plans are overall so much better.

Again thanks!

On the Vanguard...

I'm fond of all of JC's work, and fully intend to generate images for all of them in time. They are, however, exceedingly detail intensive, they take roughly twice the time to build as a similar sized vessel by another artist.

Chris West's images will probably help to reduce that time, however. I'll see what I can do.

On Chris's work, the thing to bear in mind is each artist working in the field has their own 'mission statement' and this constrains the pieces to a greater or lesser degree. FVb and the two SWDAs, for example, construct six point elevations and detail most of the internal workings of ships. They seem to feel this is the only valid method, which I find confusing, but hey.
My 'mission statement' is to generate ships and deckplans that simply let you know how to get about them - I don't feel side elevations are any more necessary than WEG, and personally I feel having all the internal mechanisms limits creativity of the end user, rather than assist them, especially considering vast increase in construction time it takes to produce them.
Chris West's 'mission statements' were almost certainly determined by WotC and the amount they would be willing to pay him would in turn limit the amount he would be willing to work on any given piece. Given his limitations, I happen to think Chris does superb work - it's not what I would produce, but WotC would be unwilling to pay the fees I would charge them.

On the Nesst and 3Z
Both of these have already been done to great effect by FVB...

The Nestt
The 3Z

Whilst I'm no fan of FVB personally, and have issues with several of the two SWDA's basic premises, working on either ship would really be stepping on the toes of other artists, and I'm not willing to do so.[/quote]

Awesome. Even if you don't get around to it, I still appreciate any effort.

FVb and the two SWDAs, for example, construct six point elevations and detail most of the internal workings of ships. They seem to feel this is the only valid method, which I find confusing, but hey.

Heh, yes, sometimes there is such a thing as too much detail. While FVB's and SWDA's plans are nice, most of the time when I first examine their plans I just stare at them for a while, wondering exactly what I'm looking at.

Which is exactly why I really like your plans. They're plenty detailed and accurate while still retaining clarity.

Given his limitations, I happen to think Chris does superb work

That's a great point. His work is serviceable for the most part.
