I've had several discussions with Karanor over the last few days which have produced a swathe of interesting ideas which I feel need discussing in the open.

On the Conceit of the Site
Conceit in the sense of both meanings 2 and 3 here
I created the site with, at the back of my mind, the idea of how the stuffyards works within the universe of Star Wars. I've long had a model and history of the facility and the way it works and that pervades everything here. After discussing these with Karanor I decided that it would perhaps be better to detail this environment so everyone knows what page we're on.
These pages are in production and will debut sometimes soon.

On a PBP RPG Game
Karanor has also suggested that there exist an in-character Play By Post rpg game running. I'm fine with the idea, in theory, but I'm troubled by a few things.
Firstly, that a game on my site would be run by any other means than my own version of the D6 system would seem inappropriate - there are tons of sites and forums out there that I don't pay for, but this one I do, so it's my way that counts. Unfortunately that would mean I'd have to either - write and entire book of Chrome D6, which, you know, isn't going to happen, or I'd have to run it, if not as GM then as an overseer of some kind. Frankly I'm not sure I'd have the time.
Secondly, a PBP would cause the post counts to skew, badly, in turn fouling the ranks system. That would mean ideally opening another whole forum dedicated to it.
Thirdly, we have only a few frequent posters here, so I have no idea if there'd be any interest in doing so at all.

Overall I'm looking to see if there's interest in either of these areas.

Personally, I'm more interested in Stuffyards as an OOC entity. While I appreciate the work you've done in conceptualizing its IC role, I tend to use this site as a resource site for deckplans rather than recognizing it as an IC entity. And as you covered further in your post, our preferred types of RP differ. I don't think it'd be fair to use Stuffyards, made for the D6 style of RP, in a freeform RP game.

As I might have already implied above, I would not be very interested in an RPG here or created by you. I don't think it would really boost activity, not that it's necessary anyways. You wouldn't see me joining, I've never played in any tabletop or Dx games before.
