Very nice work, as always.

Personally, I would have put the cargo at the back and the lounge at the front, for a couple of reasons;

- ease of loading: but that's my admittedly personal strong bias towards loading via ramp instead of lift (a possibly irrational hangup in the SWU)
- weight distribution: cargo is going to be heavier than "lounge space" and would therefore be better concentrated at the ships centre of gravity
- floor space: Seems to be more room in back (especially if the cabins were moved up front too) and it is, allegedly, more about cargo than passengers.

Of course, that would make the location of the escape pods make less sense, and they do fit where they are so aesthetically.




Also, I'm curious as to why you went with the stairs instead of a turbo-lift or a ladder.

That depends on what's underneath the lounge space, no?
Also, the form section of the ship is more tapered - there's less headroom than you might think there, but cargo don't mind being squished.


Well, because they're prettier with the room's aesthetics. Mon Cal designs always have a touch more form than function, it just seemed right.
